PROGRAM STAFF
MARY BALAGNA has a Bachelor of Science
in education from Northern
Arizona University. She has taught with the Resource Center for
six years.
GLO EDWARDS is the Director of the
Resource Center. She has a B.S. in
environmental science from Northern Arizona University, and she
has taught
with the Resource Center for seven years.
Karen Knorowski is a student at
Northern Arizona University. She is
majoring in Fine Art and has a background in the natural sciences.
In the
summer she works in Sequoia National Park as a naturalist. Karen
has also
worked at an herbarium, an observatory, and a small school in
Mexico where
she directed the children's art program. After graduating, she
plans to teach
art at the elementary level and to continue working
in the National Park system.
Kimberly Coyle is a senior at Northern
Arizona University majoring in
biology. She has worked as a lab assistant for Dr. Russ Balda,
an ornithologist
who specializes in seed caching corvids.
Originally from Georgia, Kimberly grew up with a deep love
and admiration
for nature and the abundant diversity of the humid southeast.
She also dedicated
four years to the care of children in their private homes while
attending college
part-time in her local hometown of Marietta.
" Since moving to Flagstaff and joining the Resource
Center, I have become
more aware of the importance of environmental education for these
young,
bright children and their future."
After finishing at NAU, she plans to attend graduate school
with an emphasis
in ecology and science education.
MAR-ELISE HILL is currently working
on a B.S. in botany from Northern
Arizona University. She has assisted the Center for three
years.
