How Do We Reach Our Goal?

The Center reaches students, teachers and administrators through the
coordination and development of projects in individual schools and assisting
in adult public education. The Center is involved in these projects by:

• Helping schools develop outdoor classrooms, curricula and
  environmental study areas.
• Helping to find funding for large projects within the community
  as well as writing grant proposals.
• Disseminating environmental and energy related materials into
  the classroom in the form of speakers,films and curriculum.
• Providing resource people from all areas of our community to
  supplement teaching programs.
• Giving environmentally oriented demonstrations and maintaining
  contact with students in order to provide on-going assistance and
  follow-up support.
• Providing inservice training, facilitating teacher familiarity
  with environmental education.
• Advocating direct student experience, believing in a "hands-on"
  philosophy in environment education.
