"BATS: FRIENDS OR FIENDS?"Grades 3-12 (Mary and Karen) Learn the truth about bats. Do they really build nests in your hair and give you rabies? How does their sonar work? What is their role in the ecosystem and their importance to people? Students will play Trivia or Jeopardy using bat facts.
"CATS: BIG, SMALL, WILD AND TAME" Grades 1-6 (Mar)Track and explore the mysterious world of cats. Study what they eat, where they live, and how a mountain lion is similar to and different from your cat at home.
"INCREDIBLE INSECTS"Grades K-8 (Mary, Kimberly and Mar)Students are introduced to the world of insects. On an imaginary trip to the forest, they discover a new insect species. Students complete a scientific drawing of the insect, and learn the parts of an insect in the process. A look at our insect collection completes the program.

"ARIZONA ANIMAL SOUNDS" Grades K-6 (Mary, Mar and Kimberly) Develop an understanding of animal communication. Facts about habitat, niche and relationships to the food chain are included. Students will match sounds and other clues with pictures of 15 birds and mammals.
"THE LIFE AND TIMES OF A BALD EAGLE" Grades K-8(Mary) This creative movement investigation teaches students about the life of a bald eagle, touching on habitat, habits, and the life cycle.

"ADAPT, SURVIVE AND FIND YOUR NICHE" Grades 3-6 (Mary, Kimberly and Mar) What adaptations must animals make to survive? What is habitat? How is an animal's niche within its habitat determined? Discussion followed by a "niche game".

"FOR THE BIRDS" Grades K-3 (Kimberly) Learn about some of our local birds and why life can be hard sometimes for our feathered friends. We will see slides and then sharpen our listening skills by trying to identify bird songs.
"MAPPING MIGRATION" Grades 4-8 (Kimberly) Sometimes we forget that many local birds are not always local. Learn about the journey that neotropical migratory birds make to their winter home in the tropics. We will have a short slide presentation and then do a fun migration mapping activity.
"OWLS" Grades 3-6 (Glo) An introduction to owls. Learn about owl adaptations and habitat. Owl specimens, owl calls, and a short slide show are included.
"SKULLS TALK" Grades K-8 (Mary) Skulls can talk!! Using the inquiry method, we'll look at different animal skulls and discuss how they can reveal characteristics about animals' habitat, behavior, size and adaptations used for survival. Vocabulary and concepts are geared to your grade level.
"ELK IN ARIZONA"-Habits, Habitat, History" Grades 2-8 (Glo) This presentation with slides will give students background and insight into our local elk population.
"WHALES" Grades 2-6 (Mar) Take a glimpse into the world of these incredible marine mammals. Hear their song. See them swim (if VCR equipment is available). Think about their place in our world and why they are important to us all.
"WOLVES" Grades 3-12 (Glo) These animals almost disappeared from our country, but now some people are helping them reclaim some of their former habitats. Learn about wolves, their behavior, natural history, and management.
"MYSTERY ANIMAL FOCUS" Grades 3-8 (Kimberly) This program focuses on the California Condor (but shhhh, don't tell the kids yet!) This endangered species has come back from the brink of extinction and are reintroduced in the wild in Coconino County.
"GETTING "IN TOUCH" WITH NATURE" Grades K-2 (Mary) Using the sense of touch, young children will explore natural objects. Students will be introduced to classification as we discuss living/non-living, plant/animal/bird/ mammal/reptile/insect.
