The CAEEC is an outreach program designed to increase environmental and natural resource education to elementary and secondary teachers and their students. CAEEC offers a variety of programs designed to educate students about ecology and utilizes an interactive, hands-on approach to engage students in activities that require problem solving and critical thinking skills.
CAEEC adjusts vocabulary and conceptual level of various topics for specific grades so that students will gain the full impact of their natural resource educational experience. The offerings, although still growing, include:

These programs are provided at no cost to schools and community groups.
The CAEEC targets programs to the greater Phoenix metropolitan area. It was established by the Agua Fria-New River and East Maricopa NRCDs in 1997.
